2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We may collect personal information that you voluntarily provide through the website.

Our contact form currently collects:

  • first name

  • last name

  • email address

  • message content

We may also receive information that you voluntarily include in your message, such as:

  • business name

  • job title

  • telephone number

  • product interests

  • ordering or wholesale details

  • location

  • other information relevant to your inquiry

Please do not submit confidential, financial, medical, identification, or other highly sensitive information through the general contact form.

3. INFORMATION COLLECTED AUTOMATICALLY

When you visit the website, Wix and related website technologies may automatically collect certain technical information, including:

  • IP address

  • browser type

  • device type

  • operating system

  • pages visited

  • date and time of access

  • referring website

  • general interaction and diagnostic information

  • cookie or similar technology data

This information may be used to operate, secure, maintain, and understand the performance of the website.

Wix Forms may save contact-form information in the website’s Wix contact list or form-submission system.

4. HOW WE USE PERSONAL INFORMATION

We may use personal information to:

  • respond to questions or messages

  • communicate about MAÍÍZA products

  • review wholesale, bar, restaurant, retail, event, or partnership inquiries

  • determine whether a potential transaction may be legally permitted

  • provide pricing, availability, pickup, delivery, or distribution information

  • maintain records of communications

  • protect the website against misuse, fraud, or security threats

  • operate and improve the website

  • comply with legal, regulatory, tax, licensing, or law-enforcement obligations

  • establish, exercise, or defend legal rights

We will not use personal information for an unrelated purpose without obtaining additional consent where required.

5. CONTACT AND PRODUCT INQUIRIES

Submitting the contact form gives MAÍÍZA Co. permission to use the information provided to review and respond to your inquiry.

A contact-form submission:

  • is not a completed purchase

  • does not create a confirmed order

  • does not reserve inventory

  • does not authorize recurring marketing messages

  • does not create a binding sales agreement

We may contact you using the email address you provide to respond to the subject of your message.

6. MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS

We do not currently operate a general email newsletter through the contact form.

Submitting an inquiry does not automatically subscribe you to marketing emails.

If we introduce promotional email subscriptions in the future, we will provide a separate opt-in mechanism and an unsubscribe option.

We will seek consent where required by Canadian law before sending commercial electronic messages.

7. AGE GATE

The website may use an age gate asking visitors to confirm that they are of legal drinking age.

The age gate may store a cookie or similar browser preference so visitors are not asked to confirm their age on every page or visit.

Unless additional age-verification features are introduced, the age gate is a visitor declaration and does not independently verify identity or date of birth.

We do not currently intend to collect a visitor’s date of birth through the standard age gate.

8. COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES

The website may use cookies and similar technologies for purposes such as:

  • essential website operation

  • security

  • remembering age-gate confirmation

  • preserving visitor preferences

  • website performance

  • analytics

  • identifying technical errors

Some cookies may be placed by Wix as the website platform and hosting provider.

Further details will be provided in the MAÍÍZA Cookie Policy.

9. WHEN WE SHARE INFORMATION

We do not sell personal information.

We may share personal information only where reasonably necessary with:

  • Wix and its affiliated service providers

  • website-hosting, infrastructure, security, or technical providers

  • Maestro Brewing Co., where necessary to evaluate or fulfil a product, production, or commercial inquiry

  • professional advisers such as lawyers, accountants, insurers, or consultants

  • government, regulatory, licensing, tax, or law-enforcement authorities where required or permitted by law

  • a successor organization in connection with a proposed merger, sale, financing, restructuring, or transfer of the business

Third parties acting on our behalf are expected to use the information only for the relevant service or lawful purpose.

10. WIX SERVICES AND INTERNATIONAL PROCESSING

The website is created and hosted through Wix.

Wix may process website and form information using systems, affiliates, or service providers located outside Ontario or Canada.

As a result, personal information may be stored or processed in another jurisdiction and may be accessible to courts, law-enforcement agencies, or governmental authorities under that jurisdiction’s laws.

Wix maintains its own privacy practices governing its services.

11. RETENTION

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for purposes such as:

  • responding to and following up on inquiries

  • maintaining business and transaction records

  • resolving disputes

  • meeting legal, tax, regulatory, or licensing obligations

  • protecting against fraud or misuse

When information is no longer reasonably required, we may delete, anonymize, or securely dispose of it.

Because Wix stores form submissions and contact information within its systems, deletion may require removal from Wix Contacts, form submissions, inboxes, backups, or related records.

12. SECURITY

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect personal information against:

  • loss

  • theft

  • unauthorized access

  • unauthorized disclosure

  • copying

  • misuse

  • alteration

  • destruction

However, no website, email transmission, storage platform, or internet system can be guaranteed completely secure.

13. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS

Subject to applicable law, you may request:

  • confirmation of whether we hold personal information about you

  • access to that information

  • information about how it has been used or disclosed

  • correction of inaccurate or incomplete information

  • withdrawal of consent for future use, where legally available

  • deletion of information that is no longer required, subject to lawful retention requirements

To submit a request, email cristian@maiiza.com.

We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

14. WITHDRAWING CONSENT

You may withdraw consent to certain uses of your personal information by contacting us.

Withdrawal may not apply where:

  • information must be retained by law

  • use is necessary to complete or document an existing transaction

  • the information is required to investigate fraud or misuse

  • another legal exception applies

Withdrawing consent may limit our ability to respond to an inquiry or continue a business relationship.

15. PRIVACY COMPLAINTS

Questions or complaints should first be directed to:

Cristian Bran
Email: cristian@maiiza.com

Please explain the nature of your concern and provide enough detail for us to review it.

We will make reasonable efforts to investigate and respond.

Individuals may also have the right to contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or another applicable privacy regulator.

16. CHILDREN AND MINORS

This website concerns alcoholic beverages and is not intended for minors.

We do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from anyone below the applicable legal drinking age.

If we learn that personal information from a minor has been submitted, we may delete it where appropriate and legally permitted.

17. THIRD-PARTY LINKS

The website may link to third-party websites, social-media platforms, venues, retailers, distributors, or other services.

Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

MAÍÍZA Co. is not responsible for the privacy or security practices of third parties.

The revised version will be posted on this page with an updated date.

Material changes may also be communicated through the website where appropriate.
